In fact, the 2nd floor of this complex has counters for four car rental companies, so renting a car and shopping fit together well. Outside the complex, there is also UMUI Rent a Car’s Omoromachi branch, a 3-minute walk from the station. If you have searched for “Okinawa car rental” or “Naha car rental” near the shops, this article is for you. We look at the question from the angle of how to fit a car into a shopping day, comparing the four companies with counters inside the building and UMUI, which is within walking distance.
Planning your day at T Galleria Okinawa by the clock
The complex and the rental counters keep different hours
According to the DFS official website, T Galleria Okinawa by DFS is open from 10:00 to 20:00. The rental counters, however, open at 9:00 and close at either 18:00 or 19:00 depending on the company. That means even if you enjoy shopping until the complex closes at 20:00, every rental counter is already closed by then.
Keeping this gap in mind changes how you plan. Do you rent first and shop afterward, or shop first and rent afterward? When will you return the car? Here are the common patterns.
Pattern 1: Rent in the morning and keep your shopping bags in the car
If you pick up your car at 9:00, when the counters open, you can already be on site when the complex opens at 10:00, and then drive on to your next destination. We have not been able to confirm the parking conditions at the complex for this article, so please check the complex’s official website.
Pattern 2: Shop first, then rent
You can also shop first and rent afterward. In this case, watch the closing time. Toyota Rent a Car and UMUI Rent a Car close at 18:00, and ORIX, Sky, and Nippon close at 19:00. On days when you shop late, aim to pick up your car earlier.
Pattern 3: Return the car before or after shopping
Another way is to return the rental car first and then shop without a car to think about. If you go to the complex after returning, you can enjoy it until 20:00. Just make sure the return is completed within each company’s business hours.
Five car rental companies for T Galleria Okinawa
No. 1: UMUI Rent a Car, Omoromachi Branch
Number one is us, UMUI Rent a Car. Our counter is not inside the complex but in a separate building a 3-minute walk from Omoromachi Station, and we honestly see that as a weakness. We still put ourselves first because CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) and NOC (Non-Operation Charge) coverage are both included in the base rate. Even if you decide quickly in the middle of a shopping trip, the price will not change later because of extra insurance charges.
The Omoromachi branch has five vehicle classes: Compact Car A and B, Compact SUV, Station Wagon, and Minivan. Standard-season rates (as of October 2026, tax included) for Compact Car A are 5,500 yen for 12 hours, 6,600 yen for 24 hours, and 4,400 yen per day from the second day. A station wagon is 9,240 yen for 24 hours and a minivan is 12,100 yen for 24 hours, so there is room to choose a class that suits a lot of shopping bags. In the peak season, Compact Car A costs 11,000 yen for 24 hours.
If you complete online check-in on your smartphone before departure, entering your details and reviewing the rental terms, the procedure at the counter is shorter. Booking and check-in are available in Japanese, English, Korean, and Traditional Chinese.
Our hours are 9:00 to 18:00, the same closing time as Toyota Rent a Car, which is one hour earlier than the three companies open until 19:00. We also do not offer one-way rentals.

No. 2: Toyota Rent a Car, Omoromachi Ekimae DFS Okinawa Naha Branch
This nationwide major company is on the 2nd floor of T Galleria Okinawa. Its official website says it is about a 3-minute walk from the station ticket gate exit to the 2nd-floor entrance. There is no shuttle or delivery service. We ranked it second because you can finish the paperwork inside the building where you shop.
Hours are 9:00 to 18:00, and the branch page says “returns from other branches accepted (within Okinawa Prefecture only).” ETC card rental is also available. For coverage, the official website lists CDW at 1,100 yen per 24 hours and the Anshin W Plan, which also waives NOC, at 1,650 yen per 24 hours (charged separately from the displayed rate).

No. 3: ORIX Rent-A-Car, Omoromachi Ekimae Branch
This counter is on the 2nd floor of T Galleria Okinawa, directly connected to Omoromachi Station (76 m from the station). Hours are 9:00 to 19:00, which gives you more breathing room if you want to rent after shopping or return in the late afternoon. One-way rentals are also possible with both pickup and return on the main island of Okinawa (excluding The Busena Terrace counter).
For departures from September 1 to December 24, 2026, the branch page lists rates from 4,400 yen for 12 hours in the SA class and from 5,830 yen for 6 hours in the SA class under the Okinawa Drive Plan. Please check the official website for conditions and how coverage is handled. ETC card rental is not available.

No. 4: Sky Rent a Car, T Galleria Okinawa Branch
Sky Rent a Car is the company with the service that links shopping and car rental most directly. Its official website mentions free T Galleria discount coupons. Please check the official website for the details and conditions of the discount. The company also lets you use Rakuten Points and ANA or JAL miles, and accepts credit cards and PayPay.
It is open every day of the year from 9:00 to 19:00, next to Omoromachi Station, and you enter through the 2nd-floor connecting passage. For official-website bookings only, there is also a campaign for free child seats (up to 2 seats per vehicle with the Family Plan).

No. 5: Nippon Rent-A-Car, Omoromachi Ekimae Office
This office is on the 2nd floor of T Galleria Okinawa, directly connected to Omoromachi Station. Hours are 9:00 to 19:00 every day, including public holidays. The complex opens at 10:00, but the official information says the 2nd-floor front entrance to this office is accessible from 9:00. That is useful on days when you want to pick up first thing in the morning.
For coverage, the company’s official website lists CDW at 1,100 yen to 2,200 yen per day (depending on the class) and “Full Support,” which bundles CDW with a NOC waiver, from 2,200 yen per day. On one-way rentals, the office page says “returns from other offices only.” Whether you can pick up here and return to a different office is something to confirm on the official website or by phone (050-1712-2418).

That said, Toyota Rent a Car also describes about 3 minutes on foot from the station ticket gate to its 2nd-floor entrance, and UMUI’s Omoromachi branch is a 3-minute walk from the station, so the travel time from the station is not very different. It is not too late to decide where you will keep the car and what time you will return it before you choose a company.
